Romano confirms Spurs ‘sent scouts’ to watch player who likes to ’cause chaos’ with his playing skills

  • November 11, 2023

According to Fabrizio Romano (by The Spurs Express), Tottenham are interested in Club Brugge wonderkid Antonio Nusa.

They have been following him until they sent spies to check on him recently.

He also added that a number of European teams are following him.

Nusa, who was previously linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window, has now received attention from several European clubs.

The youth’s current contract with Club Brugge runs until 2027.

Despite his young age, Nusa has already played 53 games for Club Brugge and has been directly involved in five goals and four assists.

His good performance earned him a call-up to the Norwegian national team, where he started to stand out by scoring a goal and assisting in a 6-0 victory over Jordan.

In a recent interview, Nusa pointed to Neymar as his role model, emphasizing their love of creating chaos on the pitch with their playing skills.

“I like to create chaos. Neymar is my role model because he creates chaos on the pitch with his play, just like me. He is one of the best in the world.”

Tottenham’s recent trend of signing young talent has seen them sign the likes of Blackburn’s Ashley Phillips and Argentine striker Alejo Veliz during the summer transfer window.

With manager Ange Postecoglou having a reputation for nurturing and developing young players into first-team stars, Tottenham’s interest in Nusa is in line with their commitment to strengthening their youth ranks.

In addition, the club is reportedly looking for a left-back due to injuries to Perisic and Solomon, and Nusa could fit the bill.

Signing a player of his caliber would not only strengthen the squad but would also send a message by securing his services ahead of other top European clubs also vying for his signature.
