Mega Garchomp Pokémon GO Raid Battle Tips

As a Dragon- and Ground-type Pokémon, Mega Garchomp is vulnerable to Dragon-, Fairy-, and Ice-type attacks. But it’s important to note that Mega Garchomp is twice as weak to Ice-type attacks, which means Pokémon with Ice-type attacks should be your first choice in raid battles against Mega Garchomp.

When choosing six Pokémon for your Mega Garchomp Raid Battle list, it’s important to choose a Pokémon with a Dragon-, Fairy-, or Ice-type Fast Attack and Charged Attack if you want to deal a lot of damage as quickly as possible. After the Mega Garchomp attacks, the Mega Garchomp will return to its normal form and you will have a limited number of Premier Balls to use to catch the Garchomp, so make each one count. You can get more Premier Balls by fighting with friends and defeat Mega Garchomp very quickly.

When you encounter a Garchomp, your chance of catching it is much greater if the target ring is small enough to score a Best Throw. Throwing curveballs can improve your chances even more. But work within your abilities—if you don’t think you can make Excellent Curveball Throws, aim for Good Throws or Big Throws rather than missing the target ring entirely.

Garchomp won’t make it easy on you by staying still while you try to grab it. Don’t waste your Premier balls by throwing them while they are moving.
