Apple Music for Artists has been redesigned with a new “Listening Now” feature that provides real-time data for listening analysis. The feature was released today via Apple Music for Artists on iPhone and the service’s website.
Apple Music for Artists is Apple’s platform for artists who want to track records, release new music, and connect with fans through Apple Music. “Listening Now” is the latest new feature that Apple says allows artists to “see the number of your listeners in real time, allowing you to react quickly and adjust your release strategy.”
The company explains:
Get real-time data on how many fans are currently streaming your music on Apple Music. Our listeners widget now tells you how many listeners have started playing one of your songs at any given time.
Select the widget to get a detailed view of your Listen Now trends from the last 48 hours. Maximum Listeners highlights the highest number of listeners you’ve had at any point in the past 48 hours, while Average Listeners gives you an average number of listeners over the past 48 hours. Get a summary of your top six most played songs under Top Songs Now.
For privacy reasons, there is a minimum number of listeners to display Listen Now statistics. You may see gaps in your data reporting period if that limit has not been reached.
